Families of detainees vow to resist, while human rights groups and multiple countries denounce the law

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank observed a general strike on Wednesday in protest against a new Israeli law allowing the execution of prisoners, as international condemnation mounted.

Fatah, the movement led by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, called for the strike, describing the legislation as a “dangerous escalation” against Palestinians.

“This criminal law will not break the will of our people or the determination of our prisoners, but will instead strengthen our resolve to continue the struggle for their freedom and legitimate rights,” it said in a statement.

    In the 30’s, the Nazis prosecuted all the Jews, but let (some) them live in camps.

    In the 20’s, Israel (made up predominately by Jews) is prosecuting Palestinians, and they’ll be killed just for being alive.

    I see no difference between these two. I really hope the world gives the justice Israel deserves and gives the land (all of Israel) to Palestinians, but this is not a perfect world. Nor is it a good world. Fuck, I hate it here.

      The treatment is the same, Israel is definitely fascist.
      I think the difference would be their long history of conflict, and especially suicide bombers, which killed

      over 700 people between 1994 and 2005

      What Israel is doing is definitely evil, but if you want to know how they got here, I think it’s the people blowing up buses and cafes and such, for about 20 years…

        If a group of thugs walked up your street, beat up every family, and said that everything you own is theirs now while the government looks the other way, what would you do?

          Probably just strap a bomb to my chest and blow up their wives and children?
          I assume you’re trying to say that suicide bombers were a good and justified idea?
          I would want to kill that “group of thugs” too… Absolutely.
          Israel is completely in the wrong and has been ever since it was created.
          Don’t twist my words.
          I don’t think that blowing up random people is a moral thing to do ever. I also think it has helped the Israelis dehumanize Palestinians, which is what I was talking about here.
