Why would I want to have kids in a society that wants to constantly remind me I am worthless and unworthy of material support or longterm investment?

Do people think we are crazy?

For real why would I have kids in a society that deems me unworthy of help because it is too expensive when the US military is spending a billion dollars a day in Iran murdering children by the dozen?

If I did have a kid how would I even explain the rationale to them later in life for why I chose to do so in this moment?

No judgement if you have kids, it is just the reality feels very stark for me personally.
