I’ve always loved older cars, especially that style, and would love to have a project car. Unfortunately I know nothing about cars except how to drive them. My buddy’s a mechanic so I could always ask him for help I suppose but I don’t think it’s a good idea to get started on a project car if you’re a complete novice.

cars are kinda hard to get into nowadays. New ones aren’t fixable like old ones are.

If you have the spare dough for an old 90’s (maybe early 00’s), that’s probably your best way to learn.

Also very important for me. Older cars had purchasable repair manuals. Big fat book with diagnostic steps for every system on the car. That book for my old car is the bible.
