I find these types of posts to not contain anything funny at all. It doesn’t become more fun because everyone is spamming it.

I really don’t get the fun. It just fills my feed up with garbage.

    I think the “joke” is dumb AF and I don’t like it. But I really like the phenomenon where people get together and start shitposting with a certain theme. It brings people together, creates a sense of community and encourages posting. This is something Lemmy very much needs.

    I feel like a lot of (especially new) Lemmings are like the dogs that don’t want to give up the ball, no give only throw. Lemmy needs to grow and expand. If everyone forces it to be something it isn’t it will die.

      Yeah, I get the community and getting together over some common theme, but when the theme is not funny and completely pointless, that just feels like spam to me.
