Swedish Miku would be absolutely traumatized by Surströmming…
I wouldn’t worry, Miku. France has some of the best food in the world.
A) No. B) L
Cabbage and Lamb sounds pretty good rn fr fr
Smalehåve was pretty good after the first couple of uneasy bites.
It should be jellied eels
BEANS
I love Greenland and the people up there, but I will never understand their love of whale blubber. We went on kaffemik while we were there and tasted everything both because it was polite, but also because it was kinda fun trying something new. I was especially thrilled about the small dried fish that they eat like a snack. Very chewy and extremely salty. It was pretty tippy to walk around with a whole ass fish and gnawing on it like a candy bar.
Everything tastes like fish except musk ox and reindeer. They weren’t lying when they said that you are what you eat. Whale meat taste like fish. Seal meat taste like fish. Polar bear meat taste like fish.
They had a whole ass whale tail on a small table on the balcony outside and stuck a knife in it. Feel free to cut off a piece and chew on it for tenthousand years. I just couldn’t do it. I wanted to, but everything in me was like “nope, bitch.” Meanwhile my younger sibling walked up, cut a piece and started chewing. The look on their face told me that I had made the right decision.
“It tastes like fish”
Yep.
They make mean cakes, though. And I fucking love reindeer. Tastes so good.
Beanie toast
Wrong ordering
Brazil>Japan>England>Norway
Japan has some good food, but come the fuck on… Most of it is uncooked seafood with vinegar rice. And I’d way rather have some decent beans on toast than Norwegian food
Most of it [Japanese food] is uncooked seafood with vinegar rice
Yeah, sure. Because karaage, teriyaki, yakisoba, gyōza, gyūdon, katsudon, they’re all uncooked, right? And someone gotta dump all those pigs and chickens into the sea, so they become seafood. Ah, and the cow for the gyūdon.
…just shut the fuck up about things you’re clearly ignorant.
I love Japanese food. Actually I love the food in all places I visit. Some people are very not adventurous though… Like this guy has probably been to one local bad sushi joint and proclaimed all 🇯🇵 food is bad. Red spicy ramen is one of my favourite things on the entire planet, 11/10 meal for my tastes
Just for curiosity, what toppings do you use? I’m asking it because I prepare ramen at home often, and I wouldn’t mind spicing it up a bit.
I can’t really cook anymore since I got sick, and I have no idea what they put in at the restaurant lol. All I know is that they call it Aka ramen and it’s great.
I found a picture online of what it looked like, maybe you can find a recipe or reverse engineer it? It has this beautiful oily fat layer and deep red-orange colour, I think chives and slices of pork, with those magic 3 day ramen eggs, and the thin noodles. It had other stuff in there too but I was too busy enjoying it to pick it apart lol

Ah, it’s the classics: egg, pork belly, chives. The sauce is probably pork neck broth with some miso and pepper. I’ll try my hand at it; I did prepare pork belly ramen once, it turned out delicious, but the pepper probably gives it a nice kick. Thank you!
Yes I remember it being the perfect level of spiciness. Not too hot so it becomes unpleasant, but moderately warm and comforting level of heat. Good luck!
the order is because the fifa world cup has become a custody battle for Miku, that’s the meme.
i predict Miku is going to be Argentinian next, then French for the next four years, or at least until the Euros.
Wait, is France actually gonna win? I knew my boss was smart, but I didn’t know she could predict soccer outcomes
it’s possible, as long as the referee doesn’t join in the Argentina side again.
Biggest robbery from Egypt since Howard Carter.
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to give the impression that I give a shit.
(1) No, it’s not (2) even if it were, what they do is too perfectly executed
You take what is essentially a sea cockroach and cut it right and put it on top of rice that is mixed with vinegar. I don’t care how well it’s executed, you’re eating raw fish or raw bugs with vinegar rice.
TIL fish are cockroaches
No, I think they meant crustaceans. But everything from below the waterline can go suck it in my opinion.
I’m not sure what “wahter” is, but I guess it’s really bad
Water, my bad
People won’t like how right you are. Especially if you point out how similar Norwegian and Japanese food is: some kind of brined or vinegar fish and a vegetable.
Japanese cuisine is not just sushi. Look at literally everything else and their food is flavorful and a rich mix of ingredients. Hell, that’s why umami is a japanese word.
Just because you don’t like pig offal doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist in Japan
They hated him because he told the truth 🙏
