      There is intrinsic value in the truth, I think.

      If OP posts a photoshopped picture, that tells us something about OP. If the picture is real, that tells us something about an event of this war.

      When we know the truth, we can better decide who to listen to. When we can better decide who to listen to, we have more opportunity to sway the opinions of those around us towards the truth.

        what does it matter to the people suffering in Gaza this “opportunity to sway the opinions of those around us towards the truth”. Can our swayed opinions change anything for them?

            Trump is the ultimate liar. Are his words worthless? His lies matter more than our thousand truths.

            World has changed and the truth doesn’t matter anymore.

            But my original comment was about the frailty of being just a witness to a genocide faraway and asking if the image is real or not. Honestly, what difference does it make after all we’ve seen? What have we done after seeing other images that were authenticated?
