streets around here were built with nice sidewalks and there’s a line of trees between the sidewalk and the road. and then like fully half of the area is taken over by parked cars, leaving enough space in the road for one-way traffic and just about enough space on the sidewalks to push a pram. it’s mental how much of our public space is given up to storing these child crushers, and how there’s no public outcry about it. people dont even notice, it’s become so normalized.
