Hi everyone, I would really appreciate it if you could help me understand how this platform works and advise me on which communities I can post in, because I don’t really understand it. I made two posts in some communities, but I think they’re either too small or inactive. I’m not sure what to make of it. I came from Reddit, but I got tired of their unfair bans.

I think unless you are an old timer from when things like gonewild were brand new, and onlyfans wasn’t a thing, it might be hard to understand lemmy.

Lemmy is what Reddit was like when Reddit was brand new. There just aren’t many users and the ones that are here are here for the love of the game. If you don’t genuinely enjoy what you are doing, you aren’t going to get the kind of engagement you might expect from Reddit. We are just a small community at the edge of the internet.

Hey! I’m not an old timer! I’m barely in my 40s! And I understand Lemmy just fine. Now where’s the click to subscribe button and who do I make my checks out to? /s

And hurry up! If I don’t get these tapes back to blockbuster before 5PM I have to pay for another night and I really don’t feel like watching Die Hard again…

Lol, well it’s a matter of learning new technologies, right? More than an age issue, perhaps it’s a matter of passion.
