Hi everyone, I would really appreciate it if you could help me understand how this platform works and advise me on which communities I can post in, because I don’t really understand it. I made two posts in some communities, but I think they’re either too small or inactive. I’m not sure what to make of it. I came from Reddit, but I got tired of their unfair bans.

    Lemmy is pretty much the same thing as reddit for regular people. I think the thing you’re stumbling over is that Lemmy only has around 50k active daily users. Reddit has about a 100 million. That’s a 2000 fold difference. Every post on Lemmy gets 2000 times less attention in other words.
