    Then shipped back to the states to be sold? Really? That sounds less economic and worse on the environment.

      Yep. But it’s still cheaper. Until it’s not cheaper, most companies will do it thanks to profit being valued above absolutely everything else.

      That’s supposed to be the purpose of things like… Tariffs…

        Not just electronics, but a lot of things.

        Clothes can be worse in some ways. A single shirt might travel to like four different countries, one of them just to get a tag sewed on.
