Donald Trump is weighing whether to make the Iran War even more of a disaster by sending in ground troops. It’s a terrible idea that almost everyone agrees won’t achieve anything but kill US troops and draw the United States deeper into war.

    Strategically, the idea of commando insertion is usually successful. It’s hanging around to defend and control that becomes a nightmare.

    A broken clock is right twice a day. Trump’s MO is TACO, which just happens to correlate with a shock and awe operation.

    We can’t assume a ground assault is going to outshine all the other biggly clownshow points.
