Weird delusional propaganda bubbles are the last thing we need to be empowering here on the Fediverse. Reddit allowed the_donald to become a cult and I think it has irrevocably damaged American politics at large. Once we start banning people for political wrong-think and framing it as bigotry, we have gone down a dark path where objective facts no longer matter and where stupid people can be convinced to believe anything.
As a believer in democratic and constitutional socialism myself, I’m perfectly happy to have an honest debate about the merits and flaws of capitalism and communism both, in theory and in practice. To dismiss the very real atrocities and crimes against humanity that are perpetrated by the authoritarian cult of personality in charge of North Korea is beyond simply believing in a certain form of society and economics, it’s unhinged and sociopathic.

Just to add to the unhinged, they (Prominent tankies like davel, dessalines, cowbee, Geneva_conveience, yogthos esp) constantly push the idea that authoritarianism doesn’t exist and is nothing but a “CIA anti-communism Op” (or alternatively you’ll see them spout “All states are authoritarian so therefore none are”)
