We’ve seen a parkour on our way to town, so bought a discs set, stopped and played on the way home. Honestly, it’s 50/50 if it’s real dull or not. But, I’m keeping the disks!
(Though I’m not gonna become like the guy behind us. He carried a suitcase full of them, vertically stacked in foam slots. While each time the process of picking a disc looked like open heart surgery, and picking the right one was a matter of life or death with zero margin)

While you can play with 1 disc, 3 is the practical minimum for a regular player - driver, mid-range, putter.
I typically play with a dozen, each one has different flight characteristics that’s useful for different baskets/conditions.
Also, welcome to the game! I’ve played for so long, in so many places.
We’d often get a 12 pack of ice cold beer and just carry it with us - no cooler - just drink them before they got warm.
