I haven’t seen left leaning people who are in any capacity okay with Israel’s actions. But that’s just my irl encounters and my little corner on the internet.
By liberals we mean all the people who claim to be against Israel’s actions but will vote for people that vow to fund them anyway. “Left leaning” means jack shit.
In my country there are social democrats who are in the Friends of Israel organisation. I hate them.
In my country there are “socialists” who have served in genocidal campaigns, bragged about it, joined an American paramilitary corporation/was “security at a US embassy”, all while having a Nazi totenkopf tattoo that he IMMEDIATELY removed once the public learned of its existence.
I’m starting to think “democratic socialists of America”, though I like some of their candidates, are closer to “American National Socialists” with a leftist filter put over their revisionist (at best) campaigns.

Agreed about the DSA. When the time comes, some small number may splinter off, but I expect the bulk of them to be fighting against us, not with us.
