I was visiting this well known website out of curiosity, and it won’t let access it unless I do a verification with email + face scanning. I didn’t do it, as I don’t feel ok sharing my face to access a website I barely know.
This is something that is going a lot lately, and I wanted to ask what do you think about age verifications on adult sites?
I do understand that kids may access these kind of websites, but I do not believe this is the right way to verify.
Age verification is an attempt to de-anonymize the internet. I like having an internet where people can be anonymous. If a site capitulates and wants age verification, I simply won’t use that site anymore.
This is why PornHub has simply been blocking access to states implementing age verification.
