With a 120 Hz 4K display, a 16-core processor, up to 64 GB of RAM and open source firmware, StarFighter is one of the most powerful Linux laptops on the market. More than three years after its announcement, the laptop is now finally available at short notice.
I really wonder who’s in the market for this. Of course gaming on Linux is viable, but there doesn’t seem to be much reason to buy a dedicated premium laptop for that purpose. In between mobile gaming and handhelds, it seems laptop gaming is on the decline in general.
It’s also worth noting that these do not come with dedicated GPUs. The best you can get is a high-end integrated GPU, which is pretty good these days but definitely not good enough to game well around 4K 120Hz
