Makes me think of a couple months ago when i got the itch to buy a portable dishwasher online.
Faucet had a nonstandard aerator threading so i went to the big box store about five times trying different adaptors to no avail.
Eventually I just replaced the kitchen faucet.
This would be duller news but I rent and I didn’t tell the LL that i torched the plastic nuts off the old fancy one that matches the rest of the house because he used locktite to install a faucet.
