I’m pretty much against the proliferation of weapons, and a country where the government is basically a maniac at the reins of a regressive death-cult, shouldn’t have a nuclear weapon.
But since the US already has a bunch, I can’t see why Iran shouldn’t be allowed to have at least one.
Israel has them too, and I don’t really trust them at all. It’s crazy to me that Israel gets to demand Iran doesn’t get nukes, supposedly because Iran will attack them, yet they invade anyone the can. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If it’s good for Israel to have nukes, it’s good for their adversaries.
My opinion is that no one should have them, but we’re far past that point. I don’t really know what happens in a world where everyone has nukes, but I can’t think of a good argument that these other nations, who invade whoever they want, should be the arbiter of who gets them.
At this point, it seems pretty obvious that the only way to ensure the US and Israel don’t try this again, is if Iran does get a nuke.
That might actually be the solution.

Can’t put the genie back in the bottle sadly.
