GitHub has removed more than 900 repositories and forks linked to anime streaming tools following a takedown notice from Remove Your Media LLC.

Representing rightsholders including Crunchyroll and VIZ Media, the anti-piracy firm claims the repositories “traffic” in circumvention technology by scraping pirate sites.

GitHub complied but rejected the attempt to frame the code as DMCA 1201 violations.
