Trump fired Pam Bondi to keep her from testifying to Congress again. Since she is apparently the only person who knows anything about the Trump-Epstein files, everyone just kind of shrugged and walked away after that.

The committee in charge of the investigation subpoenaed Bondi again after she ignored the last one and she’s supposed to come in later this month. Cool new detail, though: Bondi is now a private citizen, and private citizens can plead the Fifth. There will be more shuffling of feet, but I’m not expecting any further action.
