My summary: it’s a fucking mess. Seriously, I’m still trying to parse it and fact-check it. Witch hunters, poor moderation practices, 12yo kids, they’re all adding fuel to the fire and noise to the discussion.

It’s a long thread, but they flat out admit they have absolutely no evidence [1] for their witch hunts other than biased assumptions based on “I was modded but X wasn’t” and other unsubstantiated, jumping-to-insane-conclusions nonsense. Each conspiracy they’ve concocted in YPTB builds on the one before until it’s “fact” that everyone they finger-point at as a Zionist is one and deserves death (transitive property applies).
Honestly, good riddance if they and their like-minded crazies retaliate with reciprocal defederatoin. It just means the rest of the fediverse will be that much saner.

Last time I asked for evidence, I got banned from several communities and one instance. According to them, questioning their assertions makes me a zionist and deserving of death. Tankie behavior, for sure.

Yeah, I’ve been somewhat active behind the scenes working on Tesseract when I have time (so, rarely) but haven’t been active much beyond throwing out some oldies in 90s music and the occasional spam/troll sweep for what the automod misses.
I dislike fedi-drama, but I don’t even feel bad that this particular drama is finally coming to a head because it’s more or less the same problem I’ve highlighted many times over the last couple of years. Won’t hold my breath, but I’m genuinely hoping this ends up being the schism the fediverse needs because I still feel it’s doomed otherwise. Normal people aren’t going to want to sign up and/or stick around when it’s just violent crazies finger pointing about who should be murdered and how.
