Dogs bark. Dogs pee on trees. Trees have bark. Coincidence? You can have that for free. (And to save you time, if you go back to Proto-Indo-European, the only difference between the root words is an extra laryngeal consonant, so they could quite easily be the same thing differentiated by some weird grammatical quirk. Or by watching a dog mark its territory.)

T-rex: “Aw dammit I could have come up with that”

You can always find new instances and causes to defend, like, just the other day I saw a post on lemmy with someone saying using words like idiot, stupid, crazy, etc, is ableism, and once I met some straight edge guys that were boycotting sugar because they said it was a drug… I mean, they managed to top someone, the hard part is to top them, but I’m sure someone will do.

I think the word “narcissistic” is aphobic. Narcissus was put to death by the gods for being an aroace teenager. We have three thousand years of history of people making fun of a queer teenager who was murdered, leading into a personality disorder diagnosis. We should change the name of narcissistic personality disorder out of respect for the queer community.

Also, I’m opposed to the word “tribalism” when it’s used to refer to pointless fighting between different identity groups. That’s sectarianism. The only reason we think tribalism is pointlessly violent is because of racist “savage” stereotypes about tribes. I think calling sports rivalries tribalism is racist.
