First weekend it hasn’t rained this year. Went out in the van to see the state of the reservoirs.
Fair few litres flowing here
Forgot the location - It’s El pontón de Olivia, Madrid, well it’s on the border of Communidad de Madrid and Castille La Mancha
thats at least a pocketful of water. maybe a couple pocketfuls.
I’m gonna be in Madrid for a weekend at the end of the month for the first time. Any suggestions on things we should not miss, or cool spots that we should check out?
I can definitely try and help, it’s best if you tell me what you’re into and what area you’re staying in. Dietary requirements etc
No dietary restrictions, we love good food and wine, we’ll be on our honeymoon and Madrid is one of the stops 😀. We’re staying just off Gran Via. We love diving into local culture and finding hidden gems, from fancy to divey. We’re big walkers and typically spend time getting lost in new cities to see what we can find.
Appreciate any insight!
Centro - La tia cebolla
Hell yeah thank you.
How was your trip?
I’m going to a bar that I’ve not been to for time and I was reminded of your honeymoon here in Madrid.
Where did you end up?
It was great! It was just a long weekend so we didn’t get everywhere we wanted, but coming in from Rome it was a great change of pace. Really loved the relaxed atmosphere and accepting nature of everyone! We spent a lot of time just wandering around, did a winery tour in the area around Chinchon (which we loved, beautiful region). We really enjoyed the La Latina neighborhood and Caso del Campo, and the energy in Centro was hard to beat. We already want to go back, it was definitely a highlight, thank you for all the suggestions!
