Supply and demand aren’t lies, it’s more the free market is a lie, which allows the supply side to be manipulated to create false scarcity. It’s competition that’s supposed to bring prices down but the governments that are supposed to regulate the markets to allow competition instead use measures that look like they’ll make the bug players play fair but actually make it difficult or impossible for new players to enter the game.
Yeah but it’s consumer choice, they have cheaper gas efficient sedans on the lot. People just choose the big loud truck instead, at least here in the US.
No, I didn’t. There was literally one car at that time which was electric, had a good range and the price was acceptable and it was an MG suv.
All others were like at least +50% of that price at the time without having palpable benefits. So fuck me for not simply throwing 20k more out there just for funsies, right?
That’s where reality sets in and people buy what they can for their requirements.
Well yeah you would have done less damage to the environment getting a used ICE sedan but hey you wanted the shiny new car, it’s your money for you to decide it’s best use.

Yes and no but isn’t it interesting that everyone buys suvs (because of the demand!!) if all you can buy are suvs?
That’s what I mean by lie. The whole context and responsibility or influence of the consumer.

It’s not really choice if all I can buy are suv?
It’s the illusion of a free market with monopolies and controlled conditions.
I mean did you ask for a sedan? Every car lot in America has them, people just don’t buy them as often as they buy SUV or pickups.
I’m in Europe, just for context.

Wow, you’re just trolling. Disappointing.
I got an electric car ahead of the whole war oil thing. I think that’s quite progressive and trying to do the right thing for the environment.
At that time there was no used.
No used cars??? Where???
