I feel the need to point out that in the movie they actively sought out someone smarted than them to help solve their problem.
Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant when I said “it’s far too optimistic”.
Though they nailed the corporate greed, ads everywhere and people unable to perform simple cognitive skills (what’s happening with kids these days as they don’t develop that skill because they use AI for that in school).
I remember seeing all the ads around the screen while watching “ow my balls” and thinking it was absurdly exaggerated. But now youtube/tiktok exist and they seemingly took their playbook from that movie.
