Cities should also be greener, not cement jungles.
Sidewalks don’t induce that much demand, need trams and trains and separated bicycle paths with secure bicycle parking too.
Mainwalks are great, but I agree with what you said.
Maybe would be less true if the pedestrian pic featured less car infrastructure 😅
E.g. Catharijnesingel in Utrecht, Netherlands.
Most cyclists I know want more people on the bike paths.
I’ve never heard a driver bemoan a lack of traffic.
