Felt a little cherry-picked to me, here’s a map to judge for yourself
Yeah, it’s almost like borders are frequently along rivers and nuclear plants are also frequently along rivers.
This and I bet some of those countries happily pay for power from said nuclear power plants as well so they don’t have to maintain them.
NIMBY - Not In My Back Yard
Is a common phrase to indicate people generally support something until it is in their direct proximity, such as Nuclear Power Plants.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind living next to a plant as long as it wasn’t too loud. Better than coal or flare stacks.
Fucking goooood paying long term careers in those places too if you are ok with putting up with all the nuke security BS.
What’s wrong with the Cattenom Nuclear power plant?
It’s somewhat notorious for being a little bit run down, with the associated safety concerns.
Don’t believe the propaganda, Cattenom is perfectly safe, and there have always been 2headed fish in the river.
