I forgot to tell you I’ll be doing a live today at 4PM PT / 7PM ET with an incredible guest: Bobby Kogan. Bobby is the senior director of federal budget policy at the Center for American Progress. He is an expert in federal budget issues and in the congressional budget reconciliation process, as well as in budget concepts and budget scorekeeping. Prior to joining CAP, he served in the Biden-Harris White House as adviser to the director of the Office of Management and Budget, where he assisted with the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act.
He’s also served on the staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Budget, under Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), as the chief mathematician and the head of budget analysis, budget concepts, and budget scorekeeping. In short, he’s an expert’s expert on all things federal-budget-related!
We’re going to talk through Trump’s budget priorities, including another reported $200 billion request for the Iran War through the reconciliation process and proposed cuts to social programs in Trump’s budget – all in light of polling showing a vast majority of Americans don’t support the conflict.
