7 days agoAs I understand it, automatic transmissions are a lot less common in Europe and manuals are almost non existent here in the US. Maybe a manual transmission forces you to be more engaged with driving than an automatic?

As I understand it, automatic transmissions are a lot less common in Europe and manuals are almost non existent here in the US. Maybe a manual transmission forces you to be more engaged with driving than an automatic?
I remember my science teacher talking about the LHC back in 2008 when they were just starting it up. He showed our class This YouTube video to try and explain what they were working on. Partial physics is still impenetrable for me but it’s incredible to think about the kind of work and discovery they are doing there.
