It can be done with links, but not with images. @snoopy@piefed.social has suggested me apps to do that. I had even downloaded and tried blorp and connect. But I have uninstalled them. I prefer the browser based piefed experience on my mobile phone.
The crossposting is working great with links. I create a post on !chai_pe_charcha@feddit.online and then crosspost it to !casualconversation@piefed.social . It comes up as a crosspost, not a double post. When people comment on one, l can read them from the other.
You had said that l’m creating a competing community for the same purpose. That is not so. I intend to collaborate with your community, in my own way. That way, in case you feel any post is not suitable for your community, l remove it from your community. However, it still stays in mine.
You might have posted both pictures in the same post. It seems strange to have two very similar pictures as two different posts.
